Walblog - Writing our hearts out

Listen Then If You Have Ears!!!!

First is my apology to the Almighty God for the delay of this message though I believe it has come right on time for His time is always the best. I pray that you will not harden your hearts when you hear this message. The Lord is calling His people back to Himself before it’s too late. He wants you to come back to your First Love. Shun wickedness and embrace righteousness. The book of Proverbs 20:12 says, “Ears that hear and eyes that see – the Lord has made them both”. I pray that today your ears will hear and your eyes will be opened.

‘Listen Then If You Have Ears.’ It amazes me how many times these words appear in the Bible both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. The Gospels have these words and they are repeated in the book of Revelation. Sometimes the words are ‘he who has ears, let him hear’. These are the words God is saying today. He who has ears let him hear and hear well!

This message goes out to all the people that God has called out to take His good news to His lost sheep all over the world and this includes all the ministers of the Gospel of God in all ways: music or art, stage or pulpit, physical church or outside evangelism. ALL who pass the true message of the Gospel of Jesus: HEAR NOW! There is a thin line between Ministry and Entertainment. When you take God out of your ministry, then it becomes entertainment.

If you say yours is a calling, who is it that called you? Was it really God or did you ‘call’ yourself into this for selfish gain not caring for the lost sheep. Or did you start in the Spirit yet are now in the flesh? Galatians 3:3 “Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?”  Most are losing the very sheep that God wants back to His flock.

The book of Galatians 1:6-10 says “I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the One who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!  Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

Check yourselves!! Are you trying to win the approval of men or God? What is more important to you: the applause of man or the wrath of God? Who are you really serving: Immortal God or mortal man? Many of you are going on a platform for your praise, not the praise of the Almighty forgetting that God has never and will never share His glory with anybody! Isaiah 42:8 “I am the LORD; that is My name! I will not yield My glory to another or My praise to idols”.

The drive for your ministry should be one and only one!! John 3:30 – “He must increase, but I must decrease”.

Are you increasing while He is decreasing? Listen if you have ears!

Are you a hypocrite? You proclaim God with your lips but your hearts are far from Him? Mark 7: 6-9 talks about the hypocrites as prophesied by Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 29:13.. Jesus said in the book of Mark. “He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:

‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules.’

You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.” And he continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!”

One day you will have to stand before the Lord and give an account of how you lived your life and how you treated His flock. Mark 9:42 says “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.

Luke 12: 41-44

Peter asked, “Lord, are you telling this parable to us, or to everyone?” The Lord answered, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance at the proper time?  It will be good for that servant whom the master finds doing so when he returns.  Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions

Everybody who belongs to Christ has a Spiritual responsibility to the people around them. Every Christian parent is a pastor-teacher and evangelist to their family. Every believer is a prophet with the responsibility to tell of God’s grace. We are all responsible and therefore accountable when Jesus returns. We need to face our responsibilities as seriously as we shall face Jesus on the day He returns.

Luke 12: 45-46

But suppose the servant says to himself, ‘My master is taking a long time in coming,’ and he then begins to beat the other servants, both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk.  The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

Using this story, Jesus highlighted the disgrace that would befall those who have no interest in His promised return. Such people think that they can do whatever they live to satisfy their own desires. Let’s remember that Jesus is coming back. When He arrives unexpectedly, He will expect to see us serving in a way which will please Him. So whatever changes are necessary to ensure that will be so, let’s make them today and reset our focus on greeting Him when He returns.

Luke 12: 47-48

“The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows. But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

What is worse? Doing wrong or failing to do what is right? The answer is simple – they are both equally bad. Jesus was addressing His trainee apostles and He wanted to ensure that they understood the magnitude of the responsibility of the commission they had received – which we’ve also received. Every ‘today’ should start with a fresh determination to fulfil this commission; and for every ‘tomorrow’ we must pray for His grace so that we will submit ourselves to doing His will.

1st Thessalonians 5:8-9 “But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

There is much in the Bible about how God will bring judgement and destruction on the world for turning its back on Him. But we who believe will be spared, our confidence in our salvation is our spiritual protection, along with faith and love. Let these truths and virtues protect and sustain you today. God will never pour out His anger on you! For you who trust this is so, He has only love and grace.

1st Corinthians 10:12

So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!

1st Corinthians 9:27

No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

Matt 16:26 asks what will it profit you to gain the whole world but lose your soul?

When going from town to town preaching as He made His way to Jerusalem, Jesus was asked the question if only a few people will be saved and He said this: Luke 13: 24-27 Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.  Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’ “But He will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’ “Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with You, and You taught in our streets.’ “But He will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from Me, all you evildoers!’

Psalm 120:3-4

What will he do to you,
and what more besides,
you deceitful tongue?
He will punish you with a warrior’s sharp arrows,
with burning coals of the broom bush.

The Bible speaks of what God will do to all you deceitful tongues. Pointed arrows and burning coals will be your reward.

Jeremiah 14:14-16 “Then the LORD said to me, “The prophets are prophesying lies in My name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds. Therefore this is what the LORD says about the prophets who are prophesying in My name: I did not send them, yet they are saying, ‘No sword or famine will touch this land.’ Those same prophets will perish by sword and famine. And the people they are prophesying to will be thrown out into the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and sword. There will be no one to bury them, their wives, their sons and their daughters. I will pour out on them the calamity they deserve” and Deut 18:20-22 “But a prophet who presumes to speak in My name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death.” You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD?”  If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed.”

I urge you all who are called to minister to these children of the Almighty God to please read 2nd Peter chapters 1, 2 and 3 and let God speak into your heart.

2nd Chronicles 16:9 “For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him…” Are you among the ones who are faithful enough to be used of God? Is your heart fully committed to Him?

This is to all the sheep who are led by these shepherds please read Colossians 2:6-23.

The other day I was watching a very popular televangelist who appears on TBN every week. His wife was on the pulpit and she said these words, “The Lord is not looking at what you are doing wrong, He is looking at what you are doing right”. Really? Really?? That is like saying that God will not take you to hell coz even though He knows you are full of sin He remembers a time you helped a blind man cross the road. Ridiculous? Yes, I thought so too. Galatians 1:6-9 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all.

God is a God of love, but remember He is also a God of wrath. And the reason Christ died was to save us from that wrath. You have no excuse if these preachers tell you things and you hang onto their every word without going back to the scriptures and counterchecking for yourselves. God has already shown you how to tell these spirits apart. Read 1st John 4:1-6. The book of Colossians 2: 8 says “See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.” Ephesians 5:6-7 says “Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them.” Matthew 7:15-20 says “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

So tell me, what excuse do you have?

Matthew 7:21-23

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name and in Your name drive out demons and in Your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from Me, you evildoers!’
